One of the nicest dining cafes in Essen. Delicious cakes and soups, very relaxed, unobtrusive music, totally lovingly furnished and, in summer, a wonderful inner courtyard to sit on.

Wow, what a discovery :-) After trying many places in the Ruhr area, I found this place to be a very rare find in terms of its comfortable, cozy and unique ambience. It captures your energy the moment you enter this cafe. What is even more unique is the very warm & personal hospitality of the owner and the very tasty food and drinks, rare combo in that area. For me it is the "mother of all cafes" in this area. Highly recommended if you want experience a very new and refreshing ambience.

Nice and very cozy atmosphere. Cakes and coffee still have a little bit of room to go upstairs, but cakes are homemade and definitely good;) Coffeemaker and grinder are on a very good level. Thus, beans or technology only need to be improved.
